What does it look like?

The same hand-drawn style as Nana: thick hand-drawn black lines, a pencil-sketch texture and a clean white background, with the focus on the expression and the coat markings. It is not photorealistic - it is an illustration with some warmth to it. Good as an avatar, a print, or something for the fridge door.

How to choose a good reference photo

  • Daylight is best; indoors, go near a window, and do not use flash.
  • Get the whole head and shoulders in, with your pet looking at the camera, not backlit.
  • Keep the background simple, with nothing cluttering the shot.
  • One photo per pet. If you have two, apply separately for each.

Do I have to buy something first?

How long does it take?

Usually within an hour, same day at the latest. Log back in to this page to view and download it, and it joins NANA & FRIENDS at the same time. We will email you when it is ready.

My pet has passed away - can you still draw them?

Yes. Pick the clearest photo that looks most like them and we will do our best to capture their face.

What if I do not want their photo shown publicly?

Just leave the public display box unticked. The portrait will only be visible to you when logged in, and will not appear on the NANA & FRIENDS page.

Can you draw more than one pet?

Yes. Each account starts with 1 slot; place an order and you get 1 more; after that, you earn an extra portrait slot for every 15 stamps, up to 5 pets per account.

It does not look like them. Can it be redrawn?

Yes. Each account includes one free redraw using a new photo. After that, you can earn another redraw for every 5 stamps. Your current portrait stays visible until the new one is ready.
